Recently I downloaded the free recording software CamStudio. Using that and my Wacom tablet and GIMP, I recorded the short time-lapse painting video below.

And you too.. Gorgeus kitty! Congratz! I love her already. Can adopt her?:P
You are a very talented person, indeed. I just wait to see you’re next post.:D
Great picture once again, and the video was really cool. I like how it was kind of time lapsed rather than just sped up like most people do. You’ve made me really want to give GPS a try, you make it look so easy.
Hi Justin! Thank you =) Haha that was an accident, but I guess a happy one.
It isnt as hard as Photoshop in my opinion, give it a try I know you’ll paint something fantastic =)
Thanks for the heads up on embedding! I posted one by Nico De Mattia in my “Record your own speed painting” post =)
Oh! Its excellent. Why not also link a high resolution image also so that we can use them as a wallpaper? (as i have told before). If you draw in high res canvas ofcource. Saw the video, really enjoyed watching you draw the kitty.
Enjoying your work so far. Do you paint over photography as well? This is my lifelong craft – it has to be as I can’t draw! Started to look at the GIMP, but do not have a wide screen. Thanks for your visit, and if you have time, advice on the GIMP in connection with photography would be appreciated. Take care Bob

Hi Ela! Thanks for stopping by! I think I finally have the settings figured out, hopefully =)

Also, you can embed the youtube video into your blog. Not sure if you knew how to do that but it’s pretty easy.

Hi Bob!
I havent tried that yet.
Not sure if this is what you want to do, but here are a few tutorials: one on colorizing a photo in Gimp,
and this one on turning a photo into a sketch.
What problem do you mean about the widescreen?
I start out with a blank canvas and use a photo for reference sometimes. –you can see my work process in my latest youtube video . =)
Also — here are some tips for tweaking Gimp to be more like Photoshop if that’s what your used to. Thanks for visiting Bob =)
Intriguing! Those cat’s eyes are trying to tell me something, but I’m afraid to ask what.
Hi Nothingprofound! He is usually the silent type, but in this rare video interview you can hear him revealing all of the mysteries of life.
