Sunflower Wallpaper
It was a beautiful day in August when we saw these sunflowers blooming on the side of the road. We pulled over to capture a few photos, and found passion flowers and several other pretty flowers growing there also. In the video after the page break, you can see more of the photos taken that day.

Upstate NY where I live is the wildflower capital of the world. Some of my favorites are: goldenrod, queen anne’s lace, wild phlox, asters, wild roses, purple irises, day lilies, chicory, etc.

Nature is a source of rejuvenation and inspiration for us. Today, I spotted a purple hibiscus shrub in bloom in our locality…it was such a surprise, and I regret I did not have my camera with me. Cheers to many more such captures in the future!

–Purple hibiscus are great. They come in so many colors. The red ones remind me of my mom, she had them growing at our house and would occasionally wear one of the blooms in her hair.

Very bright and charming picture. Although the picture is only visual, but i can hear a John Denver singing inside my mind.
Can you take a picture of a big field of green grass, some flowers, probably with some tree (not too many) where you can see the horizon, or mountains in a bright sunny day ? I know it is a strange kind of request, but if there is some place which matches this please do. I like vast green quiet fields, where i can sit down outside a small cottage, relax, and enjoy the nature.

Sure! I will try to take a picture like that for you. I like quiet, green places in nature also. There’s no mountains nearby, but plenty of fields and trees.
Although i was referring to the “Sunshine on my shoulders … “, but the audio track in the video got another taste, with more energy, a complete different aspect than what i had in my mind. I wish i could go for a long drive in a long road with surrounding greeneries and vast fields.

I like driving in the country. It’s very different from here, –more peaceful. What is the scenery like where you are?
In my home city Kolkata, the view is crowded, too much traffic. A vacation is what I would need to get such views!
Traffic is certainly a pain. I hope you get a vacation to somewhere really nice.

I love your wallpapers. Sunflowers as such unique flowers to me, the way they follow the sun. I still remember one of my kid’s reactions when we drove fast a field of sunflowers in the fall, all with their heads down. He said, “Look, they’ve fallen asleep.” Kind of made me sad.
